What to bring

  • A packed lunch and plenty of snacks
  • A refillable water bottle (refill points are available on site)
  • Weather-appropriate and play-appropriate clothing and footwear
  • Spare clothing if your child may need it
  • Sunscreen applied before arrival, plus extra for reapplication in warm weather

Snacks are strongly encouraged even for the shorter 2hr STEM Play sessions.

Please keep nuts out of the club. Check that packed lunches and sun cream contain no nuts or traces of nuts, so children with allergies stay safe. Because families bring their own food, we cannot guarantee a nut-free environment.

What a day looks like

  • Morning break, around 15 minutes, with outdoor play when the weather allows
  • Lunch, around 45 minutes, from about 12.30pm
  • Afternoon break, around 15 minutes
  • Zones and activities run around these breaks, and timings stay flexible

A member of staff is always present during breaks and outdoor play.

Phones and personal items

Toys, games consoles and other personal items are best left at home. Mobile phones may be brought if needed, but we ask that they stay in bags unless necessary. Any personal item brought to the club remains the child’s responsibility.

Collection

A member of staff supervises the exit, and children are only released once their parent or carer arrives. If you need a different arrangement, talk to us at the time of booking.

Keeping you updated

We tell you what your child has done, enjoyed and achieved that day, and share photographs and videos of their work in line with our privacy policy and your photo consent.

Behaviour

We focus on positive recognition and encouragement. If a child needs to be spoken to about their behaviour, it is done discreetly and away from other children, and we never shout. Ongoing or significantly disruptive behaviour is always discussed with parents.

Common questions

Do you provide food?
Not at our holiday clubs. Children bring their own packed lunch and snacks. We ask that nothing containing nuts comes into the club, and there are water refill points on site.
What if my child has allergies or medical needs?
Tell us at the time of booking. Allergies, dietary requirements and medical needs are recorded and shared with the staff who need them. Our staff have had EpiPen training and follow the medical plan you give us. Because families bring their own food, we cannot guarantee a nut-free environment.
Is there outdoor play?
Yes, weather permitting, with staff present. At venues where the school provides playground equipment, we ask parents who do not want their child to use it to let us know before they attend.
